Can’t make up your mind?
Here’s a montage of rims as seen on Barndoor Deluxes before…

What are you going for on your ride?
Which is your favourite rim on a BD?
Got any other pics? Better pics?
Pics of top rims on other models of BD?
Pics of BD rims not to go for?
What rim would you like to see on a BD?

For me its got to be Stock (on a stock height bus), or Old School…& its difficult to beat Sprints or early Fuchs

Stock CB 16s (with trim rings)

Cool thread! Curious to see any other choices.

I think the stance determines the choice of wheels to be used...

I think as long as you go wide five or porshe.. it's hard to go wrong.. Most all those pics looked good.. I hope to be able to post a pic of RDW's later this next week.. Mark isn't that your old bus with the radars. That was the first bus I ever seen with those wheels.. Loved it..

The bus pictures with the Raders was Mark Rafferty's bus, not Mark Pribanic's.....although they are both from the same coast. It's also the one pictured with the Empi 8's, but that was pre-resto. I agree, Mark Raff's BD lux on Raders kicked ass......almost converted me over to the custom side.

Here's another of Rafferty's. Looks like he is unsure to go with BRM's or Radars/Raders.

Not when you're from the Folks. Were the hardline extremists of Fuchs.

speaking of rims.. Had an off the wall thought yesterday.

How come all VW wheels are talked about and marked in inches instead of mm's or some metric measurement? The tires are usually talked about in mm's?? 165's?? Was the USA the only place tires were made?? Just a thought.. Are they reffered to in metric oversea's?? Do they roll 20's over there or soem huge number of centimeters?
