Those spiky retainers on the rear seats break off? Between myself and the PO, about four of them were damaged; unfortunately two are right next to each other at the end of the frame, so as I'm installing new TMI upholstery, the seats just aren't looking as tight as they could. Wondering what I might do to tighten 'em up.

you can use a pop rivet or the screw with washer (used to hold bus door panels on if not a deluxe) to hold them or make new spikes and weld them on.

The WolfsburgWest 'How To' video suggests making some new tabs and attaching them with screws if it's too late to weld them on.

I cut new triangles from sheet metal and tack them in place.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I wound up using 3/16 rivets to hold the fabric to the frame. So far, so good.
