Does anyone know the approximate value of a 1950's "Dux" split window toy like the one in the photo? I found one at an antique store however, the seller is asking approximately $100 so I passed. Condition is average, light scratches, as it was obviously enjoyed by some kid at one time. Are there any websites, other than ebay, where I can find info on early Porsche and VW tin toys?
I would like to start purchasing early toys when I find them but I am ignorant as to what people are paying these days.
Thanks vwtoyguy for the pictures!

What key? Are you referring to the small metal lever that protrudes from the deck-lid? That part was there. I think it was a friction toy but I am not sure.
I am going to go back this weekend and try to get him down on the price.
Thanks

You won't find one for less. It's a good price. _________________ My Beetles :

While I hate what's-it-worth questions with a passion, that's not a bad price for the condition. I doubt you'll find one any cheaper. |

There should be a key that winds the motor. They are almost always missing. The correct key would say "DUX" on it. Just about any clockwork key will work. The lever on the rear decklid is a Stop and Go lever. _________________ Do you want fries with that? |
