I just replaced my interior door panels and I didn't want to cut holes in them for my round, 6" speakers.

I only have 2 speakers and I'm not going for "dolbydodecaphonicwraparoundsound". I'm happy with 2-speaker stereo music. Where (up front) is the best place to mount a pair of simple 6" round speakers?

They sell some pods that allow you to add speakers to the kick panel. I don't have them but am thinking about it in the near future.

If you want mickey mouse....
I think my PO just stuck the speakers inside the door behind the door panel. The magnet holds it in place.

I bought fiberglass pods from JBugs. They are awesome! You didn't say what kind of bug you have so go here and pick what you have and they'll be right on top of the list.

i wanted some music too but nothing really fancy and i ran my speaker wire uner the carpet on the drivers side and made a little board to hold two six inch speakers under the back seat area on the drivers side. they're where the rear kick panels should be. we put some dark carpetty stuff on the board and you can't even see them and they sound really good even though the speakers themselves are definitely nothing fancy. you can even hear them really well with the convertible top down because they're right behind the drivers seat.

i have a set of the kick panels from the PO. 6's in the kick panels, 5 1/4's in the door and a 10" sub in the cargo area. sounds great because the car's shape is very conducive to the set up. also, with the set up i have, it doesn't shake the bolts out and you can't hear it down the street, but it can definitely be heard in the car.
