Something that's very easy to do, which makes a difference, is to put in a lower temp radiator fan switch. They're only $11 at busdepot, takes about 5 minutes to pull the old one out of the radiator (at the lower right corner when you're looking at the radiator, you have to take off the lower grill for this). Do it when the engine is cold so there's no pressure on the system, and you'll only lose a tiny bit of coolant. This switch won't make a difference in your highest temps, like going up to whitney portal from lone pine. But at that borderline zone you often drive in, where the fan is just about to kick on, it will kick the fan on earlier so that you will run a little bit cooler in that zone. _________________ One of these days I'm gonna settle down,
