|
|
I am looking for any information on this VW shop in Denver. Its called Painters Grinding. A guy named Dayton Painter owns the shop and has been in business for about 30 years. I'm looking to get an engine built for my 73 Baja and was wondering if there are any problems with this guy. Or if anyone knows of a reputable VW shop in the Denver area, that would be very helpful.
Thanks for any info...good or bad!! |

Thanks everyone...I've been shopping around for an engine builder on the web, but I would like to keep the build local so I can get help when needed and not have to do to much over the phone or e-mails. |

Go to Randy Bowen in Colorado Springs. VERY reputable builder. His shop is called Sport Car Service Center.

Just an FYI-- Painter's Grinding will no longer work on a Vanagon, or sell parts for one.
Blazer Automotive, however... Can make a sick Vanagon well and whole. Larry and Bill are marvelous, with wise old mechanics, they are absolutely honest and truthful, and always have a waiting list.
Just my drei pfennig.
