|
|
Hello,
I do not have pictures of the car but I hope you can help me figure the price for a 1969 standard from this info. It's been off the road for 3 years so fuel system and brack system will have to be changed.
- No Engine but tranny there.
- Paint is not good (hoodride patina ) with some surface rust but no rust bubbles.
- Header Channels seem to be solid.
- All seems solid.
- All lens are dead (not there or cracked), interior has been pulled out but comes with seats. Fenders are good. Rear apron is not stock ("pops out" is the best I can come up with...). Front bumper gone and back bumper rusted.
- Popout windows.
- Front windshield smashed so will have to be replaced.
- Adjustable beam.
- Not stock wheels but upgrades. Tires seem to be new.
If pans are in good shape what would be your price?
If pans need to be replaced... your price?
Please let me know what you think.
Thank you.

w/ good pans, maybe 600$. I paid 500$ for a completely dry '71 super, a rarity in WI. It was completely stripped, though, and needs a lot of parts to be complete. Bad pans, offer to tow it away for free _________________ '66 SO-42

I'll second the $300-350 range. Doesn't sound like much is there other than a shell. If the pans are shot, $100.

Sounds like based on your location it may be hurricane VW survivor...$100 at the most. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.

Damn! Based on that assessment, my '72 barn find, straight body, no rust, complete interior & body, working engine and tranny, needed paint job and brakes, all original for $500 delivered was a steal. Now if I could just find a thermostat - cheap. |

Mine came with a box of parts, including a thermosdat I would say, yes, you did get a deal, although there are less bugs up here in WI than in VA... _________________ '66 SO-42
