There has been some discussion about cutting the back of the Thing more "Baja" style. An examlpe was presented (Gary Cooksey's Yellow two door Thing".

I contacted Gary and got him to send me some better pictures of his car. He sent me a ton of them and I posted them on the Las Vegas VW Clubs photo gallery site ( http://www.lasvegasvwclub.com/gallery ) if you go to the "Type 181" area, and click on Gary Cooksey you will see several pictures of his car during construction.

It is also worthwile to note that he used a tube fram, not a standard pan.

Though I post and read everywhere, I know that others do not, so I have to cover all of the bases.

I would have also posted it on the STF but they were down.
