Installed a new clutch master/slave units 3 months ago and now that its gotten colder I get intermittent loss of pedal pressure..as if the seals are not doing their job. I purchased the units from CIP1 Has anyone else had problems with after market cylinders? Dealer part is $150 _________________ 87GL Westy/suby ej22

have had worn slave cyl issues, mo masters as yet.
double check your overall clutch syst bleeding-- might take several cycles to get the air out of it |

An update and also "buyer beware" or "you get what you pay for" post.
Turns out it was the after market clutch m/c that gave out. It made a sickly gurgle sound. Only got about 1500 miles out of it. Funny how the seller advertised it has 'Made in Germany'. The only markings on it whats so ever is "11". The new vw m/c has of course the typical markings in all its glory and weighs approximately twice as much.
Aftermarket
VW
Does this mean my new VW m/c will self-destruct in 2 1/2 years??
Cheers. _________________ 87GL Westy/suby ej22
