Does anyone know the correct pedal pads (brake and clutch) used in 1956 or 1957? I've seen the large emblem ones used quite a bit recently but looking through old owners manuals and workshop books, what looks to be 1956 or early 1957 models have the smaller emblem pedal pads. So which is correct?

I dont know the answer, but I do know the big logo ones fit better because of the notch at the bottom. _________________ 60 Rock Grey Vert |

The large logo are supposed to be pre-55, or thats what I thought.
They look cooler in my opinion though... I would run em in my 56! _________________ • Metal Fab & Quality Suspensions, Type I-II-III. Since 2004 • |

Hi,
I found information stating that beginning in Oct 1952 The newer small logo pad, with the vw logo locared in the center of decreasing size rectangles, was installed.
There were two previous pads used, one is the photo shown in the post above, the 2nd had fewer and deeper grooves ( 9 of them).
I am not sure of the years each one were installed.
Anyone know more about the other two pads used ??
I remember my 60 beetle's pads being glued onto the metal peddle, this of course was in the late 60's and a frustrated previous owner may have done it.
