'55,
No prob Dude.....I had just heard from threads past that you shouldn't use teflon tape anywhere on a full flow system. But I tell ya what, what ever stops the leaks that works is the best thing to use. It's like the little dude over in Holland that plugged the leak in the dyke. Wonder what he used _________________ '66 Beetle

For future reference - the Empi bumper mount brackets DO NOT work on a Ghia. They are too tall.
Going to have it cut and re-weld to fit. Will post pics when done. |

Teflon Tape is okay if you start the tape a thread or two up from the end. If you don't it will shred into your oil or fuel system. starting it back a couple of threads insures it's going to stay on the fitting. My personal favorite it hydraulic thread sealant, with PRIMER. Never heard of the primer that is to be used with it??? I'm not surprised.....it's to be used with all anaerobic sealants. _________________ '67 Sunroof
