Hi all,
I'm having trouble ID'ing this 5-speed .... I think it may be one of the close-ratio models but I've been searching for a couple of days and can't find a match for any of the numbers. My problem is complicated by the fact that the case has some corrosion that is partially obscuring the numbers.
Here's what I'm able to make out so far ....
Side of case: 091 301 108 D (might also be ... 103 D)
Bottom: 3H 02 xx xx (looks like there might be more #'s but unreadable)
Thanks in advance! |

The "3H" would appear to have the following specs:
Engine = 1.6l TurboD
Year = 1/85
1st gear = 4.11
2nd gear = 2.33
3rd gear = 1.476
4th gear = 1.023
5th gear = 0.816
Reverse = 3.67
Final DR = 4.83 _________________ "Sometimes you have to build a box to think outside of." - Bruce (not Springsteen)

Thanks Chris, I think that's it 'cause this is a 1.6TD & trans. that came together from Germany but out of what I'm not sure!
