ok rainy season is about to start and my new to me 66 has 135s in the front i dont particularly care for the tiny contact patch on them but the winters here can suck
sooo im looking for something i can put on the front of a bug that will not rub fender with drop spindles but has a nice footprint.
its for a 66 if that matters going on 15x5.5 ( i think ) rivieras _________________ Brian

If you put wide tires on a bug they will truly suck ass in the snow. Like trying to steer a greased pig.
Stay with 135/145/165 tires, especially for a snow driver! _________________

I've been runnin 195-50-15's on empi 5's on my bugs for years. I drive all year round in the mountins, rain snow etc. I prefer them to the 135'145, for handling sttopping, and don't notice much differenct as far as being hard to steer. I have a stock width beam and lowered quite a bit. |

I ran 135's for 7 years... and they're horrible in the rain. Get the 175/55's, they're the same height (2% taller, or ~3.4mm though depends on who makes em...) |
