Engine sometimes doesn't idle!

Hello! Well I finally bought my first bus. It's a 1970 westfalia that I found for sale on this server! I love it...

It runs good except for one problem. SOMETIMES when I am coming to a stop, the engine won't idle. Instead, it will spudder and die. However it starts back up with no problem. This only happens once in a while. When the bus idles, the RPM seems to go up and down about 300 to 400 rpm.


Any ideas? Thanks

could be the timing, do a tune up on it. or if you dont want to do it have some one else do it.
