I saw a pic of a insanly dropped mango, with wheel well covers, it looked pretty sweet, the bus also had a visor and a spot light. I wanted to know if people sell the covers or is it custom.

heres the link to the bus

Let's remember that this Mango was built long before the recent wave of "slammed" buses. I remember it being a stand out as the lowest bus at many shows and people tripping out that Jeff rolled it like that.

Your front looks lower that his pic but did you have to cut your back bumper in half so it doesn't scrape?

If you look at his pic I dont think the rear bumper needed to be cut, look how high it is off the ground.

Eric just drags his, hell he wore a whole in the bottom of the case going to charlotte. Had to put another engine in.

LOL

In person you can see it would scrape on any sort of incline. I think the overriders would scrape regardless. He had the rear bumper hinged for a while until it swung up and hit the taillights and broke them out. Not sure it's hinged anymore. The transmission is raised.

I remember seeing that Mango at the Classic two years ago or so.
He had bonked the oil sump plate, ripping it off the case, and was trying to get a replacement to seal while parked at the show site.
Gotta hand it to him, though, he drove it from Norcal to LA, scraping all the way!

I have NEVER understood why someone would use one of those fuckin things on a lowered VW.

I know two or three people personally that have done that.... Rolling Eyes

No, it was the STOCK sump plate that got knocked off, if you can imagine how that happened without destroying the engine case!

And looking at the photo, I'm not sure this is the same Mango.
The one I thought this was had a shaved rear bumper to keep it from scraping.
