I sent ntimid8 the cables w/67 seats, but I told him he was wasting his time messing w/them! Does anybody ever get theirs working? I'm thinking about taking them off the 66 and grinding down the bracket so my carpet fits nice?

I guess I'll just take them off and see if I can get them freed up? Maybe hold off on the grinder! Restored gauges w/RED bezels to match the seats I guess? Rolling Eyes

I just realized the red clock is 6V, so I get to paint the 67 gauges silver anyway! Very Happy

I never have trouble getting them adjusted, if everything is working properly. Be sure you lub the cables, and the lever at the post. Then adjust until it works with the wingnut under the seat.

It must run tucked under the carpet by the tunnel until it connects to the seat.

They run under the carpet looped toward the center tunnel. Then they pop up and connect to the underside of the seat with the wing-nut.

what are you guys using on that lever on the door? My plastic coating on that knob/ arm is missing and rubbing real bad on my door. Metal to metal does not work that good.

Haven't tried it yet, but a small piece of heatshrink tubing like that used on electrical wiring should work. Just cut it to size, slip it over the tip of the lever and heat it up. A blow dryer on high should work.

Here's a photo I found from when I had the driver's seat out in my '63 Notchback:

I will get them working some how. I appreciate all your time and help with this transaction. I will get the seats tomorrow.
Thanks again.

My left cluster gauge doesn't have the little circle in the middle, but the clock is 6V. The reset knob is black, but I remember Evan was searching for a chrome knob. The RED is correct for 66?

If you can't come up with a button just glue a flat strip to the door so the lever has something to slip on.
