On some shaved busses they get integrated in the headlamp units. 3700 is quite a lot for this heap of parts...

The turn signal is attached to the driver. It's called your left arm! Very Happy

definately, an iron cross, its got the curves. not a maltese cross. for example, the VW ambulance was equipped with roof marker lights to indicate its an ambulance, from the factory, with a standard red cross. or optionally, you could choose a maltese cross marker. like this:

They may just rely on the old arm out the window.

In NC lights are a substitute for signaling by hand! (though technically at inspection they are required by DOT...)

California vehicle code requires them to be installed and working on Motor trucks, truck tractors, buses and passenger vehicles, other than motorcycles, manufactured and first registered on or after January 1, 1958.

From here: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc24951.htm

Arizona says: 2. One or more lamps or a mechanical signal device that is capable of clearly indicating an intention to turn either to the right or to the left and that is visible both from the front and rear.

From here: http://www.azleg.state.az.us/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/28/00939.htm&Title=28&DocType=ARS

I do not believe your arm is a "mechanical signal device"! Rolling Eyes
