Is a Fridolin Pan a fridolin only pan? from what I can tell from pics on this site, they use a swingaxle tranny and ball joint front beam. It almost looks like a type three pan with very square rear styling on the left and right but with a type 1 bulk head, almost ghia style.

thanks,
Patrick

Fridolins sit on Ghia pans, not Type 3. The only difference is that the rear section of the pan has a double layer which allows the pan to remain flat from the top side. I'm shitty at posting pictures here in the forum, but if you need some pics, I can send you some.

That makes sense. the rear of the pan did look different. Pics would be nice. I was looking at the pics here, in fact saw some of your in the files.

thanks,

Hi Sickfrid:

Quick question... The wife is just insane over the Fridolins... She wants it to be our next project... We are financially comfortable, but not loaded with big $$$... Have you heard of any restorable Frids. in the US or semi completed ones for sale (hell would consider a completed one if reasonably priced)? I have seen yours... And we want to follow your style with our own twist... As a lurker and observer for the most part, I noticed that you seem to be the guru on Fridolins and some other nice projects..

Thanks Marty

I cheked this out, the rear quarters have been cut for the wheels but those panels can be sourced for about £500 for both, it needs to have the windscreen with it because finding another is a hard task! its in better condition than mine! Laughing

Way way way over priced i won this car on ebay for $2,000 at the begenning of summer but it was sold out from under me AFTER the auction end

someone else on here was going to buy it and traveled a long distance wasted alot of gas but the car was "not as described" he knows what this seller paid for it and so do i but last time it was mentioned the thread was deleted within hours
