I'v got a 1914 that I'm just finishing. It has a W110 cam, .055 deck, 8.5/1 comp, 40/35.5 valves, 1.1 rockers, very mild porting(just cleaned up the bad lumps and edges). I have 40IDF carbs. I wonder if I could run 28mm vents with 118 mains and 1 3/8 exhaust and J pipes. I want low end power, maybe up to 4500. Will this work? Any problems?

Have to check your jetting once running for the main jet you mentioned. But all you posted should work just fine. As for low end tork.. to me thats more stroker crank than a cam.
But what your using should be just fine. Maybe go to 1 1/2 diameter exhaust though.

You always tune the carbs for max power. I would use 32mm venturies with your combo. A W110 cam will make power to 5500 RPM so get all you can out of it.
