|
|
I've always used a stereo-typical muti-bladed, folding, brass feeler's guage for my valve adjustments....but I've always thought there must be a better way.
Is there a guage specifically designed for this purpose? I seem to recall seeing one (actually photos of one) way back when. It had only one blade, as I remember, just for your specific valve lash spec. It had what appeared to be a flat, stainless steel handle, which was long enough to be user-friendly, and ended in a loop (presumably to fit a finger in).
My guage is too short, too flimsy, too awkward.....
What do you guys use? _________________ '64 Bahama Blue Beetle / steel sunroof

I saw it at CIP1's printed catalog . But, they don't sell it anymore.
Something like this:
This is from the Gene Berg's site:
http://www.geneberg.com/cat.php?cPath=14_421
They don't show any picture.
Somebody has this Gene Berg tool? Can you post a picture?

I got one of them, but like my Bluepoint "Go - No Go" blade style feeler gauge.
But then I have chromoly pushrods and set them to "loose zero" so "I don't need any stinkin' feller gauge". _________________ Glenn

That's exactly the one I remember! I'm surprised to see that they are actually affordable.
I think I need one! _________________ '64 Bahama Blue Beetle / steel sunroof
