I am trying to replace my driver's side map pocket on my 1990 Westy Syncro. What is the best way to take off the door panel without breaking any of the attachment pins? is there a good tool out there for this?

These work great because they allow you to apply pressure on both sides of the pins.

Even though those panel tools make it really easy, I have used a long skinny screwdriver before.. I think the secret is to take your time, and take it easy.

I have never seen them in stores, but I haven't really been looking. My came free with a stereo install about ten years ago. A tech left it in the car.

You find were those pins are, and sneak the tip of that tool underneath the panel and straddle the pins. You can ease the tool back and forth, and gently pry out of the door one at a time, working your way around the door.

That's really similar to those garden weeding tools too. A mini wonder bar works really well also available at any hardware store.
