Dirty plugs, old wires, fuel filter clogged, carb dirty, weak spark... could be any of those. _________________ oo9less since 2007

Hard start in general is allmost allways corroded points. In your case it's probably the choke adjustment. |

Need more info. Is the condition on all starts or only cold or warm starts? What is the timing set at? What does the spark look like? |

When I start the firts time in the morning it is perfect, at the firts try runs well, but the rest of the day I need to make 2 o 3 attemps. Only in the morning starts at first.
The timing ser looks ok, I use a stroboscopic light and the marks shows a little bit in the left of the split of the crakcase.
The sparks looks ok.
The engine runs well very iddle at 800 rpm.
Thanks for your help. |

Still guessing but we are getting closer.
After it's warm where is your choke pointed? Full open? Look inside the carb is it leaking internally some? When you go to start warm do you pump it once, hold the throttle wide open or ___? |

When it is cold, the choke is in the upper position, then when it is warm go to the lower position.
I will look into the carb.
To start warm I turn the swicht trying without pumping, then If do not start I pump once o twice, then it starts.
Thanks.[/img] |

Give it one pump before you start - warm or cold. |

So what's wrong with just pumping once and hitting the key when it's warm? Don't take this wrong but this is not fuel injection and it's all figured out automatically for you. |

^^ exactly,
If you don't pump it, the choke is stuck at the spot where it was when you last turned the vehicle off - if it was at full operating temperature, that means the choke flap is completely vertical - an engine that has cooled for a while may need a little bit of choke to help start it. |
