I'm looking at buying a aluminium mesh sunvisor, like this one:

Basically I'm looking for someone who has one on their bus and can tell me wheter it's any good or not. I'm a bit woried about wind noise it might cause and how it'll look on a poptop bus.

So any thoughts on this one?

I have one and don't really use it. It does make some noise; at least, that's my perception, I can't quantitatively back that up. Might do a little against direct sun on the dash, but not enough that I even notice it being absent.

I wouldn't bother unless you like the look. On some busses they can look nice I reckon.

Cheers, A.

I've always been fond of the bug ones with the elevated center.
I was hoping to modify one of those to fit my bus someday after i have it painted.

The rounded one, like the above, just isn't my style. (or my bus' for that matter Razz )

They are not the easiest thing to find either. CIP has the plastic ones for rather expensive, and I tried to talk to an Aussie about getting one, but no luck. Shipping would be more than the visor. Sad

Yea getting them from Australia would be rather expensive. Cip 1 indeed sells the regular perspex ones.

Serial Kombi in France sellst the mesh visor.

Would be nice to see more photo's of these visors installed, especially on campers with a poptop. Thanks for sharing your experience btw aggri1!

What would be a 'fair' price for a new one? I was thinking of making some mesh ones, depending on demand/price. Based on SoCal.
