I am getting ready to build a 36hp for my oval and was wondering if anybody had any experience honing out the cylinder and using .5mm Mahle oversized pistons. |

A work shop can bore your worn STD cylinders to match the oversize pistons. This work just requires special tooling to hold cylinder during machining. |

and oversized piston rings....off course.
I was lucky to find a set of 77.95 (second oversize) pistons and a set of NOS 2.oversize piston rings.
I gave the used cylinders to a machine shop to bore them to 78mm.
In combination with the okrasa stroker crank the cylinder capacity increases to almost 1330ccm.

Thanks,
Yes the pistons are oversized, I got a couple of sets probably 8 years ago from Wolfsburg West. I will see if RIMCO can hone out some used cylinders I have collected and fit those pistons. |

Im in the process of making 83mm "big bore" piston and cylinder kits for the 25hp/36hp engines. I have had alot of requests for these and nobody seems to want to take on the task of manufacturing them. There is a need for them since the only way to get more cc's out of these "tiny" engines is to stroke them....
I WILL NOT release them to the general public until all my testing is done. These piston and cylinder kits MUST last just as long as the factory 77mm original types. They will maintain the same cylinderwall thinkness or even thicker as that of a stock 77mm liner with NO cylinder distortion! I will put out a "Press Release" when they are ready to be distributed. Wont be cheap but you get what you pay for.... Enjoy photo!

Ok, Mr Okrasa, dont tease. Show us the neat toy on the underside of that motor. Others may have, but I have not seen that item before. It looks sweet. |

I have checked with several manufactures of pistons and cylinders and the price seems to be around $1850 retail. Too much money!!! Still working to get a "better" price.
Will keep working on it...............
Stay tuned...
