Have a berg did not really like it. Got a stock shifter to see if I would like it better. installed it and I cant get it to push down for reverse and its not very smooth.
Its a 60 single so it has the shift rod guide not the bushing. It has the shift rod with the slit in it.
what am I doing wrong? could I have the wrong shifter? would else could it be? _________________ www.cultwagen.com |

More than likely you got a shifter from a later bus. Is it bent? if it is then it is not for your bus. pre 63 the shifters are straight i believe. Well the are on mine. Ive had a 67 and it was bent, so is the 66 i have. _________________ Eric

got it shifting smooth. Freind loaned me another stock shifter to see if it would work and it took care of the problem. _________________ www.cultwagen.com |

For future reference, in late August of 59. the shifter was changed from straight to bent. Also, the position on the floor that the shifter pivots was moved farther forward. _________________ The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance, but the illusion of knowledge
