Last weekend, I picked up this very original 66 convertible from a TheSamba member in Santa Barbara and drove it over 400 miles north to Sacramento. It still has the original 1300 and 4.37 ring and pinion in it, which made for slow going (65 mph) on the trip home. A prior owner had converted the car to front disc brakes though, hence the four-lug chromies.

My long-term plans are to do performance and suspension mods that don't involve any body mods: adjustable front end, 3/4" front sway bar, camber compensator, super street trans w/ 3.88 ring and pinion, and the 2110 from my 69 coupe. The 1300 will be pulled and stuck on a shelf for safe keeping. I'm definitely losing the white wall "falsies" as well. Razz

Here's my 69 coupe, which I plan to sell after I swap engines. I have a 1600 dual port that will go in this car for sale.
