Sounds like everyone is on the right tract. However, back to square one.
Just to clarify the symptoms that you first mentioned in case there is a misunderstanding. You said it wouldn't shift out of first and you drove it at 5 MPH. Was that because the transmission didn't shift or was it because the engine wasn't running well enough to get up to speed for it to reach the shift point? In other words, does the engine run good, powerful, and can rev up? In neutral, can it rev up? Just need to double check with you that it really is a tranny problem and not a real sick engine that doesn't have enough power to push the bus out of low gear. |
Yeah, it revved up quite well, in neutral too, past the point of where it should have shifted I just didn't want to put too much stress on it, so I took it slow to the mechanics. _________________ Don't call it a van. |

Sorry for the delay guys!
The bus is not running, and was not in those pictures, but it still made for some great decoration _________________ Don't call it a van. |

Great pics! Looks to me like you have the right attitude about prom and had some fun. Now get that bus running again, it looks way too nice to be relegated to prop status. _________________ 1978 7-Passenger, 37K miles
