Well ended up making friends with a resto guy and did some trading. He put me in the school of hard knocks and I learned ALOT learned to love metal work and all that is involved with it. It took me awhile to get the hang of it. Well the guy was having problems and I never got to work on it. So moved it to the house and took off working as fast as I could. Finally after a realy long week and weekend its in paint.

Man its great to say you did all of you own work. Then again it was a learning experience for sure. I would of done alot of stuff different now that I know what I do. For starts find a better bus lol. Then again I guess I saved this one it would of been passed around just rotting alittle more each time.

Dayum Johnathon, looks great! Shame you can't drive it down this weekend for your Bachelor Party!

We could load up the strippers in the back! Twisted Evil

Amazing how you found time to fix up the bus while at the same time buy a house and get ready to get married!

Figured I would fill in this thread with all of the details of the build since Im at work and bored lol.
Ok so we got it moved to his shop and started to work. I decided to lower the bus so started by raising the steering box. sorry no pictures on that one. Just measured the angle and cut the support moved it up and welded it back with braces. It was easy with the floor out. Very Happy
This is the first thing I ever made from metal a simple bend. I had no idea where to start used some cardboard did this and it opened my mind to metal.

Next thing I had to do was tackle the window metal. I had ordered a peice that was hand made for the front. It was far from perfect..... Thought alot better than what I could of done so not complaining. First I mounted the safaris so I would have some guideline.

Now I made a discovery the latches at the bottom wouldn't work for some reason. They were sitting to far back and wouldn't allow the safari latch to hook them without breaking so I made some.
