Here is my 66 deluxe i have been trying to find the right paint. Titan red for some time now i live in sacramento and i took the paint code to sunrise paint and they didnt have the L555 in the computer. So we brought in the gas cover and tryed to match in and as you can see in the photo that is not titan red. Any ideas on how to find the right paint.

I had a quart of L555 glasurit mixed up to code and sprayed the battery tray and lower foot of the rear corner on our original paint '66 deluxe. It's close but not perfect.....slightly too pink. I think I could probably live with it on a total repaint or even just the section I did but I need to respray the nose from the windshield line down as well. I've been staring at the corner all week and I'll probably bring the bus and the quart back to the paint shop to see if we can improve it. What sucks is the nearest paint store with Glasurit mixing banks is over 80 miles away. I had the stuff to code shipped here through UPS. The Beige grey I had mixed up looks perfect on the paint stick.....but I haven't shot any out yet so we'll see.

Hi,

Paint's a funny thing. Not that I know the proper answer but what color primer DID you use vs what you SHOULD have used. Primer colors can and will affect the final color appearance.
