Bus Depot has these two:

$99.95
http://busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=043906091

$159.95
http://busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=GFP301

What is the difference other than brand? I am a fan of buying the best part once, but I also don't believe that just because something costs more makes it better. Thoughts?

Also, today when I get home, I'm going to try and test the one on the bus once more to see for sure if its bad. What is the best way to do that?

Thanks in advance.

I bought the Bosch pump as well. I think the Bentley manual has instructions on bench testing the fuel pump.

Thats funny, the $99 one says its new but the brand is Fuel Injection Corp. which is a rebuilder of fuel injection components. Usually the cheaper new fuel pumps for FI are american made and have different connectors.

Bench test it. Remove it from the bus, apply a 12 volt power source and see if the motor turns. If it does not turn, replace the pump. If it does turn, hook up a feed source and a gauge to see if it pumps. If it pumps and holds pressure, it's good. If it pumps and builds pressure but looses it when you shut the pump off then it either has a bad check valve or a piece of debris caught in the check valve. If the check valve has failed, you can always install one in line after the pump and keep your old pump working.

i am a proud owner of the $99 special Dancing
and it has performed well for the year i've had it. It connected right fine. Warranty is up. Now we'll see.

but the Bosch is on sale! Dancing
you'll save as much as you would have spent in the difference...

if i had to do it all over again, i'd buy the Bosch, b/c Dancing ...it is on SALE!

honestly, i don't know other than it was the $99 special from BD i bought a year ago (give or take a month) to put my bus back on the road. How time flies. It was aftermarket on special from them.

i even went and rolled up under the bus just now to see if it's marked, nope.
(found a connection boot loose, and snugged it up) Dancing

I'll see if i can find the paperwork from it, i had the box for a while but think i tossed it.

i'll check around later as in tomorrow or the next. All this dancing is tiring.
