Hi all.

Kinda like the subject says. Sucha lame question coming from a guy who has his conversion running.... Laughing

I'm hoping this is the right way though I suspect it may not be.

Installed the other way, the rad hose is in the way. Sad (it's a FLAPS equivalent)

Thanks!

Neil.

Thank you for posting those images JFF.

That makes sense. The curve of the rod more or less follows the sidewall on tire. I did end up installing it that way. I kinda shoved the hoses around til it fit.

On mine, there seems to be a *hair* of pressure on the "upper" rad hose. Cutting/welding to drop the clamshell a little may be the solution.

This water cooled stuff is still new to me. Smile

(Jetta engine into my air cooled Westy)

Cheers,

Neil.

no problem, Do you see the valve to turn off the coolant/heat to the front for use in the summer. It's nice to have and cost about 4.00 with parts from Home depot.

Yup. I noticed it.

I installed a new heat control valve as the cooling system is almost 100% new.

That valve makes good sense though. Especially since the cables tend to f up and the valve itself will f up eventually too.
