Has anyone built a Body/pan Dolly/Rotisserie for a Thing??
What I am wondering is where did you attach the Rotisserie to the Thing body??
I was thinking about using where the front & rear bumper mount.
Here are 2 pics of the one I plan to build.

With the body off, the doors, top, windshield, etc, I have been able to flip the body upside down with two people; one front and one rear. It's pretty light. I built a flimsy frame out of 2x4's and some old casters to push it around.
Just an option. |

I built adapters for my engine stands that bolt to the body at the bumper mounts. I centered the pivot at the cg of the body so that it rotates very smooth and won't crush me ,I work completely alone. I have no nearby helpers. I am also building a 41 Chev. p/u and have adapters for its frame. It is very handy for welding when you don't have to stand on your head.
The other end looks the same but the picture is to dark. |
