6 years ago my engine overheated and gave up. I'm pretty sure it was high mileage and worn out. I didn't know much back then, so I just tore it all apart and planned on building a 1776 for it. I still have the 1776 kit.
A few months ago I got tired of looking at it just sitting in the garage so I found a used 1600, and started the process of bringing it back. All new fuel lines, tank, brakes all around, front disk conversion, and all tins, flaps and thermostat.
Finally got it all together tonight, and after a few cranks she started right up. The BMV is closed on Mondays here, so I couldn't get plates for it, all I could do was drive up and down the driveway. Really irritated me too, as there was a car show just down the road tonight.
The brakes are still a little soft, I think I need to adjust the rears better, and maybe there's still some air in the lines.

The carb is a Solex 30/31 PICT on a stock 1600DP. Engine came off a Baja, which is why I had to add all my old tins to it.
As far as I know the decklids are the same between Supers and Standards. Everything (except the engine now) is original to this car. _________________ -Andy-

Thanks guys! For a 6 year old cheapo Maaco job, it's not too bad. Of course it's been in a garage under a cover for all that time.... _________________ -Andy-
