Hello All,
You can see clutch disc from my car after 2000 miles and some street races:
Engine and drivetrain combo:
1776 ccm
CB Street Eliminator 42x37
Engle W120
9.0:1 CR
Dell'orto DRLA40
AT gearbox + KEP Stage 1
Car weight w. driver: 1700 lb
Now I'm looking for something "stronger". Do You have any idea ? |

Weird how it fractured all along the rivet line.
I dont use a cush-lok but isn't the lining supposed to be
bonded as well as riveted?
I don't see much of a bonding residue... the base plate is kind of clean?
Is kush-lok a China product.
(And) do you know that this particular disk was new and never soaked
overnight in solvent (or some bad condition like that. Oil etc..).
I think maybe a bad disk because its hard to mess one up that bad
no matter what brand.
You'll probably have no problem getting a free replacement,
BUT like always, do you want one?
And all the bullshit to replace it!
I have uses several Centerforce-Dualforce for street friendly use
yet they grip like mad with even a non-diaphram, even better w/ a stage 1. |

Go Either stage II and a copperhead, or try again with a stage I and a copperhead if you feel a stage II is too much.I run a stage III in mine. |

I find that interesting as I am going to install a Kush-Lok in my 2187 coupled with a KEP S1. I don't know whether to be concerned or not... _________________ 1967 Deluxe Sedan |

Simple, its not a real Kush-lok, cush-lock or whatever the names are now. Looks like the cheep low grade crap that’s floating around. I use the “Real” Racing Daikin disc not the street one with a stage 2 in our turbo street car, baja and my drag car. No problems at all. I have never used Arts disc but if Arts offering it then you know its top quality. _________________ Have tech questions? Need real help? Give us a call.

Art,
John from Aircooled net sels it and on his www there is:
"For high power applications (over 160hp)"
Bujo's engine is much less than that, is it OK to use it for a cars with 120-130PS?

so how do you tell the difference between the regular daiken and the heavy duty racing daiken? I bought the racing daiken, and allways wondered how do I know the difference between the two if you only have the one in front of you? Is the part # stamped on the disk different?

The street disc has “B503” part number on the center hub and racing one only has the “DK” emblem. _________________ Have tech questions? Need real help? Give us a call.

Hello,
thank you for very helpful answers.
One more question. What do you think about KEP Heavy Duty Clutch Disc. Did somebody have some expirience with this?
