What ever happen to that guy He always had a fresh ass car back in the days. He also had that ghia with the plate BURGER in the front.... |
Yup,, Robert aka Burger did the ghia right after he sold the double cab. Everything always painted in orange.. He had a nice oval ragtop for awhile that he got from me.. Burger's house was our hang out back in the days. Last I heard he was out of the vw scene and doing cartoon drawings for disney..
Note: For the old times some of you might remembers Burger's Orange 67 ragtop squareback.. That was the shit back in the days as well.. I think he sold that to Japan and bought the Dc pictured above.. _________________ 59 Ragtop

Would be nice to see some of the guys from back in the days like Bobby Jones, Rollen, Rick and Burger to come back out with something. _________________ 59 Ragtop

Ragberry went to Japan. I bought the Car from David Garcia in 1988, after it was stolen from him. They took the Motor 2180cc, Trany, Wheels, Front hood and seats. I managed to get it up and running again drove it around for about a year the posted it for sale in The Recycler. Sold on thursday afternoon, the same day the paper was published. I wished I never would have sold it. |

OMG! Thank you all for posting pictures and telling tales about these cars. These are the exact cars that got me into the VW scene back in the late 80's early 90's when i was in high school. Id get the newest copy of Hot Vws or VWTrends and read them cover to cover and just stare at each car and each mod...most of which you guys have spoken about and posted...this thread is simply awesome for a old fart like me...is 32 old? PLEASE lets keep them coming. If i still had a scanner id be getting out my old magazine...which i still have every issue and scanning till my eyes fell out to post on here! Thanks guys!
PS LETS HAVE MORE MULHOLLAND LOOK PICTURES POSTED I know but i love them them as well and man do they SCREAM 80's _________________ 67 bugs are only days away from being a Fat Chick!

32? Geez...you're still a youngster.
I'm near my mid-40s and I'm sure you've seen the pictures I've posted since I've been in the VW scene since early 80s. _________________ Jim Kikuchi
