I may be wrong here, but as far as I knew...unless these are 14 inch rims, that the tires would be 165R15...I think that is right. I think that is almost every VW I know for stock tire size.

the first tires were Metzlers, then Continentals later in production became standard. All were 185 SR 14 M+S
I even think they has studded snow tires without the studs installed in some markets. |

The 14 INCH wheels from 73-83 are NOT bus wheels, but 181 specific. Bus wheels will rub on the front upper control arm from incorrect offset. |

Thanks for trying to let me know that. I should have made it clearer that they are "like" the bus wheel but not the same. I went to great lenghts to come up with the correct wheels from a good man in Canada. The way to tell if they are thing or bus easily is the bus has slots where the center part of the wheel meets the rim and the thing does not. Of course the offset is didderent as well. |

Kubelken, so when I go to get some centerline wheels, Douglas wheels or some other kind of 15 inch offroad wheel what offset do I need to get???
And does the offset only really matter in the front because of the upper control arm rubbing? |
