Looks like there is one on each side.

Is the owner planning to restore this bus?

ok now that is just rediculous. I wonder how something like that would even happen. Any pictures of where it was sitting? It looks like someone cut it off a bus and then sat it on the ground, I have a hard time imagining the entire lower 36 inch of a bus disappearing.

Oh no! Its another one of those barndoor rafts things were they cut it in half and put it on a boat. A friend of mine had a similar barndoor deluxe ex. raft body. It ended up in England I think.

By the way... The thing on the roof looks like something were one would put a boat flag. Perhaps not a mount for a roof search light...

Hi everybody....yes, it was a top on a boat built in the 70th´s.
The part is in very good condition and it would have been really fun to see what the rest of the bus did look like !!

My friend got a tip from a friend and start searching for a while ago, they have been on a lot of small islands before they did find it.....and he acctually did not know it was a barndoor......the info he had was that it was a bus roof Very Happy

It was found in my area (Gävle)

My friend have not decide what to do with it yet

That is the lowest barndoor i have ever seen! Laughing

Shame the bulkhead is missing.
If it had a chassis number i would restore it. Seriously.
But without that you cant get a birth certificate and it could be anything.
I know someone will want to covert there standard into a deluxe with it Rolling Eyes
RHD Sambas are big bucks. And now Gerson makes all your panels including the RHD dash.

The rest of the bus is probably in the water.

I heard a rumor that to get rid of old cars, sometimes they were pushed out on to frozen lakes, then when they thawed, the problem was gone...? Get some diving gear out there!!!! Laughing
