The one on the Jerome raffle bus looked the same, real loosese.
I got some pics of the Jerome raffle buses twin side by side, a semaphore 60 built with-in 30 days with NOS hoops and canvas for comparison.

I started to wet sand my 58 SC to repaint the paint shops shitty 2 attempts to paint it, also put in a new battery tray and am going to paint the engine compartment while redoing it

Yesterday I pushed the storage shed bus back so I could get into the cargo doors. Then took a buunch of stuff out of it (just put it down) so I could check out something in the bus.
After it got dark that was a noise like someone knocking over chunks of metal. The bus and parts had been moved so they were in the way of where the deer walk through every morning and evening. I bet one of them tripped on what I left out.

Deer don't cuss when they trip over stuff in the dark.

Aren't you suppose to spray water on canvas initially to shrink it up to size when fitted on hoops. I am pretty sure that is what Tom from Buswares told me. Maybe he will chime in.

Found out what caused the noise in my buddy's bus engine while he was driving down the hwy. Glad he shut it down quickly. Looks like it saved the block and other parts from damage. Been sitting in my garage since he gave it to me in 2004. Going to try and use the case to build up an engine for my '66 westy project.

After a couple hours of rust scrubbin', gave the 57's brake light hardware some POR 15. I'll top coat it tomorrow, probably grey.

Yup. I p-mailed him, and that's what he said to do. I sprayed the hell out of it this afternoon, and it worked like a champ. He says the new post-production treatment doesn't shrink the canvas as much because it's not water-based.

Oh, and I cleaned up the side windows and mirrors so I can actually see through them.

He was cruising down the hwy around 60mph headed to a campout when he lost power. It would run, but was making a noise, so he towed it home.

Hey Thom, if you roll your rear flap inward (the opposite way you have it, as pictured), when it's rolled up rain and dirt won't collect.

Roll inward....

I did 90% of the "other" restoration 12-15 years ago. It was amazing the NOS parts the owner had for that truck. That said, I swore I'd never restore a single cab again......working inside the treasure chest was miserable in the hot Arizona summer heat. I guess time makes the memory fail a bit as I'm about to get started restoring a non-barndoor 55 euro single cab that I purchased several years ago. I'll have some catching up to do with Thom and Mink Laughing

bought a antenna for my 56 sc,its had gobbed on bondo over the og holes ever since i can remember,i also gave thought to a valve adjustment before i head out wednesday to inspect a bunch of splits and hopefully make a deal on them

Got the corner about finished, battery tray in and the engine compartment painted. Got both the engine deck lid and the treasure chest door, cleaned and primmed on the backsides and the front sides wet sanded, they are ready for paint now.
Started to sand blast the gates but taken to long and to much sand, off to the blaster Monday. Cheaper and quicker
Still wet sanding the twice resprayed by the shit ass body shop with 400 paper so I can respray it beginning of next week VEGAS BABY
