I just saw the news about the fires in the state California.
On the news I saw a old vw beetle , I thought a split window.
unfortunately all burnt out.
Many houses are burnt out.
I hope that is only materials thats been lost.

It was an oval....there has been a thread in the oval section (http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=329177). What a shame!!
It should also be noted that this VW was sitting in a mobil home park where everything else made of metal disintegrated....but the VW is still standing (even though toasted).
Check out today's edition of US Today. The same Oval is on the front page.
