I bought a car about four years ago from a friends VW junkyard. Any car I wanted, whenever I wanted. He really needed some cash for christmas. So a few weeks ago, I decided I better pick a car and get it home. I searched all over and all the VW's were SO far gone. There was one covered by honey suckle, vines and thorns. I got to looking at it and it seemed kind of solid. I came back with a buddy and we cleared the car off and dragged it back a bit. Later, I found out the story. The car was driven to Indiana from Arizona and spent a couple years here on the roads before the engine gave out. So, an Arizona car. Solid quarters and heater channels. Needs a patch on the floor and the spare wheel well is in need of replacement. Solid start. I just need to scare up some struts (2-bolt type) so I can get it home. I am hoping to get it home before X-mas break, so I can get some work done on it. Anyone have some struts? Here is a pic or two of the car.

Thanks. Not too bad really. This one went from this to this in about 6 months. New pan, engine, tranny brakes, paint interior etc. One new heater channel and the other is in progress. Here is the before and after on the last project. This one was MUCH worse than this super, so I am hopefull. It does look pretty bad does'nt it. It is better than it looks, though.

Those struts should be a piece of cake to find. Check the classifieds. Good luck on your new project! _________________ '66 SO-42
