Thanks guys. Everett, I am not sure how you would tweek a bumper like that but its in good shape in spite of being pulled upward.

I will gladly sell the parcel "hole" if anyone wants it. Laughing

Joey, I made a die to press the center floor shifter area that you can see the test piece in one of the shots. I love doing that crap. One day I will build a bigger press tomake some larger parts but never big enough to do an entire floor in one piece.

I do pick some rusty stuff but I enjoy making the parts and bringing them back to life. Thats half the fun. The other half is driving them.

Shocked Shocked Shocked Impressive work ! Especially the fact that you're making your own metal sections. I wish I had your skills 'cause my VWs are maybe as rusty as your DC...

Any chance of seeing a pic or two of that die and press?

I have been impressed with everything that I have seen you do jeremy so it really wouldn't suprise what you come up with next. From the dies to the work you've done on the 15W. I have no doubt that we all will see that DC on the road soon. Looks like you want to get that tetnis award back at CTS that you lost last year.

I do have the hoops. The only part I had to find was the bottom half of the rear seat. Not the pedistal but the seat itself.

Here is the die for the shifter area. I need to make it about 1/4 deeper for the final piece. I made it with a plasma cutter and cleaned it up with the mill. The I use my press with a 20 ton bottle jack.

hey jeremy, after following the ressurection/build of your 15 window...i know you're very talented and more than capable of taking a project like this on. and i'm loving the fact that you're making most/all (?) of the metal repair panels.

good job and keep it up!!!!

Made someore progress. I bought a shrinker/stretcher and it helps tons on making the rocker panel edges. The whole side was a later panel some one have poorly install back inthe day. It must have been bought from a dealer. It has the rounded fender lip which is incorrect for this bus. It only had 5 tack welds holding it on. I am going to attempt to make the whole piece. I also made a inner and middle rocker, b and d pillar rockers. Also the drivers floor area.

Jeremy, is that a shrinker/stretcher from Harbor Freight? Does it seem to be pretty sturdy? The ones from Eastwood are pretty high...

Yep, I found one of the older ones that was $100 with one body and both jaws. Now they only sell the two body two jaw deal for $189.
It is very sturdy. I am impressed.

there is a big difference between a hobby and a job. Im sure jeremy enjoys making panels and building his projects and once you turn it into a job it pretty much takes a lot if not all the fun out of it.

man, that looks great...Mine is 4 months newer than yours, and doesn't quite need that much, but this will be an inspiring thread to watch as I daydream about fixing the rust on mine...looking forward to seeing it in person.
