I was considering possibly replacing the Axle beam on my 65 with a new or rebuilt spindle to spindle but have only found one place that lists any.
The top shock mount bolts are seized in place( see my other tread http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=337858&highlight=) and the king pin bushings are bad on the driver side. As for anything els on the beam, the car isn't on the road yet so I'm not to sure of what the other parts are like. This seems like it would be the easier way. I'll be removing the body soon to replace the floor pan and figured that would be an excellent time to do that.
Does anyone know of places that might sell axle beams for a 65? I tried all the banner adds on the forum but didn't come up with any unless they just don't list them on there Internet sites.
tks, Brent <"OOOO={ |

Not to hi-jack the thread, but I've been wondering if anyone has used an aluminum beam from JT's for the street, and if so, how did it work out? _________________ '59 Beetle.
