Fiberine high top

Has anyone ever contacted SCA to find out how many we'd need to order? The more I look at that top the more I like it, plus 33" high, thats some plush living area up there! Great, now I'm gonna spend all day trying to find more pictures of that topper, so much for the dishes and fixing my computer.

Ahhh, more pictures, thanks a bunch levi! I know most of you seem to think very little of the fiberine, but after seeing some more angles I'm pretty sure I'd be ok with going that route. I mean its no AW and its far from perfect but it'll do what I'm looking for and if I cant get my hands on one of those SCA tops then I think the fiberine will suffice quite nicely. I guess I could keep my eyes open for a AW top to salvage but I'd rather start new, 20 year old fiberglass isnt something I'm too fond of, my surfboards are suffering after just a few years. On another note though, it looks like the top on the blue van is a two piece or do my eyes decieve me? Funny, I figured they were all one piece, whats the deal here.

I really wonder about the top on the blue van. It is definitely not the same design as the one on the bronze one above. Was it really a top from another vehicle (e.g. bay bus) that someone cut to fit?

I was thinking that the one on the blue van was pieced together from two similar bay window tops. The profile on it seems much more like a bay window than a vanagon, softer curves, less angular, it also looks a bit narrow which would make sense if its from a bay window.

Wow that a pretty sweet van. Whats going on in the back of that high top? Is it a hinged storage compartment or something? or just a big parting line?

Interesting, very interesting! Wow, that is really something. I like it a lot, very nice job and nice van. I'm definitely impressed. Oh, how the wheels are turning now. Do you know much about the construction? I'd assume fiberglass. I've done a bit of work on my surfboards and an oregon dory my dad and I own, it'd be cool to turn out a one of a kind camper top. But like you mentioned earlier, looks very time consuming. But then again, I am seasonally-employed, Twisted Evil

, this might be the perfect project!

They quoted me a price for the product, I didnt ask about freight because part of the year I live a couple hours from their plant. Heres the costs that they quoted me:

- 24" VW Vanagon Roof in a grey or white gelcoat........................ $975.00
- (Opitional) Inside Fiberglass Liner in a grey or white gelcoat......$400.00
- Trim Kit Black or White (ouside molding kit).................................$40.00
- Crating and packaging..............................................................$110.00

- Freight Charges go direct to you and depens where you are, we would be shipping out of our manufacturing plant here in california.
