That reminds me of going to May 2005 Bugorama a back way through Oregon and Greg hit a rock with the center pin of my old 65 westy.

well i finaly decided to move some trash - took me about an hour.
had to cut out some brush and thorns, and get on down the trail Cool

...but i forgot to bring my shovel Rolling Eyes i brought a pitch fork to move the trash.
the westy does not have enough ground clearance for the pipe...and loose gravel over mud, i just did not want to chance it out by myself Embarassed
there has been quite a bit of rain since i hiked the trail, wasn't expecting the washout.....

finially got to see some off road action in my bus.

explored some local power line roads near charlotte, nc.

Your Bus has a cool wear pattern going on.

This photo is very pleasing. Nice lighting, almost postcard-like.

No insult intended but when I first saw that photo, I was expecting a "Just found this Bus in a field" message.

thanks for the comments.

looking at this thread for months drove me nuts wanting to get off the pavement. defiently fun as hell cruising around on some dirt roads; i was grinning ear to ear. for those with stock height buses, i do recommend trying it.
some of you guys are nut where you take you buses; too extreme for me.

yeah this thread drives me nuts. my 58 is a quite a ways from seeing the road, dirt or pavement. All I can do is wait.

Shasta just happened where were You! I had a blast off road camping at shasta and 22 buses tearing up back roads, It was a blast!
