hello,

i have heard about the special 64S distributor with vacum and weights but they were cast iron and black.

i have found one that probally was installed on my first engine (66 fastback but i bought it with 36 webers) so i am not sure if it is correct. it is aluminum body and the same shape and setup as a 67 distributor onlt a inch or so taller.
i recently put it on the engine again as i intended to use a 019, but that wouldn't fit due to the different position off the driveshaft. so i opened up the box full off old parts i had and found this distributor along with the one from a 67 engine. that is when i found out they were different in size and after some search on the oldvolks site i didn't find a match. so maybe you know what it is and when it was used.

type3 n° 311 905 205 P
bosch n° 0231 115 058

just might have found what the distributor is...

i guess it could have come from a 68 automatic engine. not sure if it can be used on a regular, carbed 1600 engine.

The 311-905-205P has been identified as a distributor for a dual carb automatic type 3. It was only used in Europe. I do see you are in Belgium.
See this other thread.
