whats the best way to clean out the main metal fuel line?

Common question here. Usual answers are a combination : pour some strong solvent in there like acetone or MEK and let it soak. Used a strong wire to dig in and bust stuff loose. Compressed air to blow it all out. Keep at this til it's clear. Lots of previous topics talking about it, here's one:
