Hey all... looking for T3 SQB owners in the DFW, Texas area. Haven't seen a whole lot of type 3's roaming the streets. Just curious if there are any owners out there... speak up and make yourselves known. _________________ You laugh cause I'm different...

Get used to it. You is a rare breed! |
Rare breed, hahaha... that's what my wife always says about me! Sadly, I think you are right though... T3 owners are few and far between around these parts. Wish there were more cause there are so many things I wish I could bounce off of another local T3 owner. _________________ You laugh cause I'm different...

I'm no expert but I'm guessing the spike during cold running has everything to do with the roofing tar(20-50) in the crankcase. |

I daily drive my '67 square in Houston around the Johnson Space Center area. I've been here a year and a half and I've never seen another Type-3 on the road. I see a Type-1 once every couple of weeks and I saw a bay window bus today at lunch!
I moved here from Santa Barbara, CA where type-3s and air cooled VWs are commonly seen daily. _________________ VW Fact #128: Benefits of the Type III: better visibility, more space for people and objects, improved comfort, better roadhandling, reduced oversteer, less sensitivity to cross-winds, and more power. |
