geez but i hate the way VW illustrates the heater system. it took me hours staring at it before i finally got that they are showing half of one side and half of the other.
i'm not sure how they could have made it more confusing... i'd rather see one side, completely put together.
but i'm easily confused anyway. |

That is my other hobby. I just checked the other day, and I have 3.7gig of PDF files of VW info. Probably more. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

Thanks russ.
But, now I think I’m more confused than before. I need to some some assembled pics to see where it all goes.

The rest is almost the same as the bug, except for the cool-air bleed tubes and air boxes on the body. |

perfect.
looks like I need the the elbow, the Fan Housing to elbow seal, the hose to the heater box and the heater duct to the body.
is there a breather on the elbow? where does that go? _________________ www.cultwagen.com |

here is what im dealing with, aftermarket air cleaners, header, Air blocked off at the fan. Still have heater boxes.
Could I just run a heater tube from the fan to the Heater box and just skip the rest of the junk?

Yes, but you should block off the inlet on the body mixer boxes so you don't lose heater air there. Also, search the site (or wait for someone to point you) for alternatives for those elbows. They take a lot of abuse so a thin foil hose isn't going to last. Some have made elbows from pieces at the hardware store. |

It seems like your local Muffler Shop could bend/weld up the best solution pipe wise for what's missing? My FLAPS/EMPI Dealer has a huge selection of muffler pipe/elbows if you wanted to fab your own. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts
