Yes, be very careful. When my dad was a park ranger, he got to help remove 5 dead bodies from an RV, all from CO from a heater. |

They didn't have any at my local-ish Lowes...bummer.
I've been using a coleman cat-heater in my van for years without dying but I always crack a slider and open the roof vent.

<<I've been using a coleman cat-heater in my van for years without dying but I always crack a slider and open the roof vent.>>
And here is the key--cross ventilation.
Most all of the doom a gloomer's won't think this far forward.
They think that using a propane heater put's you on the road to a one way nap.
Not true--
And while the Colemann isn't as efficiant as the Mr. Buddy heater, with a cracked window and the skylight open a hair--your good to go.
The solr / battery powered skylight is a perfect gizmo to suck out any poisoned air--
I've been on the Buddy Heater for 10 years, and still here to write about it. _________________ T.K. |

This thread should get the darwinian award....
If people sleep with oxygen sucking flames going in a non ventilated van they will probably die...less people to worry about. |

If you drive your Van with yur eyes closed you will probably die...less people to worry about.
Population control.
I can't believe plain old common sence has a difficult time kicking in here.

"If you drive your Van with yur eyes closed you will probably die...less people to worry about."
Only one problem with that Terry....driving with eyes closed may kill innocent people that come in contact with you and your van. Sleeping alone with an oxygen deprived van takes out one more moron. |

Might--might not.
Depends on where your driving.
Another common sence issue--which is the basis for the parrameter.
Sleeping alone or with 10 people with an oxygen deprived van takes out a bunch of more moronic folks.
So in another words if your stupid--don't drive blind, or use any propane heater's.
Real simple. _________________ T.K. |

The one that I just pruchased is model number MH9B, so I am assuming that isn't included in the recall. Also there is that whole date thing...just bought it in 2009! |
The one I mentioned earlier that leaked LOTS of propane was bought in 2008... _________________

Just got around to taking mine out of the box and firing it up for the first time. Wow, talk about heat! Yeah, this will come in handy. There is nothing worse than being cold, and with a product such as this to take off the chill is really a wise investment. Even if you don't use it in your van while you sleep.
Talked to a friend that works at Lowes'. She says...they are able to check if other Lowes stores in their district still have these units available, and in turn have them shipped to a local store. Don't know if all are willing to do so? She also mentioned trying to purchase online and then use "pick up at store", not sure if the would discount it or not, maybe worth looking in to? _________________ '15 Audi A3 Quattro
