ok the gas stopped leaking like crazy for now, but its still a small drip. it drained about 5 gallons but i figure with only 85 miles since last fill up, thats about 6 gal left in the tank. the rest of the fuel must be in the upper chamber Question how do i get it to transfer down to the bottom part of the tank,so to drain the rest of the fuel??

There is no lower chamber. Your leak/hole is likely along the side of the tank not the bottom and it drained to that point.

If you want to drain the fuel out, just undo the hose the goes to the pre-pump filter (or the pump if you dont have the pre-pump filter).

its at the flat part on the very bottom of the tank, next to one of the braces that the tank rests on. the van is slightly leaning to the right but still,i am sure there is over 6 gal still in there. Confused

Sounds like it might be time for a new tank.

Get front of van up and resting safely on blocks/jack stands. Hook up a suitable clamp to hose connected to tank outlet. Direct hose to your gas can. Open hose. Fill the can(s). Remove and inspect old tank. If replacement needed, do so with a new resealed tank. Good time to check lines to/from expansion tanks. Lot's of good info searchable on this site Smile
